Dombakup Bridge

Dombakup Bridge is located at the 196.111 km peg on our railway and crosses Dombakup Creek.

It is the last bridge on the line heading south to Northcliffe and is also the only completely Timber Trestle Bridge on the Pemberton to Northcliffe Railway.

To our knowledge, Dombakup Bridge is the only completely timber trestle bridge still in use in Western Australia

There are five timber trestle type legs and the girder type supports are round logs of which there are 3 stretching the length of the bridge.

The only steel used in this bridge, are the bolts that hold it together and the rails that run over the top of it
